Hello parents,
On January 27th, the fifth and fourth graders will be going to the Manchester-Essex Regional High School to see the Cape Ann Symphony perform a youth concert. The theme of this year's concert is American Composers, meaning each of the five pieces that we will hear at the concert are written by an American. The five pieces we will hear are as follows:
Over the month of January, your child will be learning about each of these pieces in music class. They will learn about the piece and about the composer who wrote that particular piece. If you would like to follow up with more learning at home I suggest reading more information about the composer and listening to more songs by each composer.
I am excited about going to see the Cape Ann Symphony Youth Concert, and I hope your child is too!
