Hello parents,
Are you ready? Is your child ready? The Mad Hot Ball is one week away! I'm only slightly freaking out. I know the students will be great but it is a stressful event to help put together, and I of course want all of my students to get first place!
The Mad Hot Ball will be in the Gloucester High School Field House, and it will take place from 2:00pm until about 4:30pm. Your child is expected to be there at 1:15pm and check in with their corresponding school table. If they are competing, the boys will have a number pinned to the back of their shirt/jacket.
At the beginning of the ball, the students will walk in with a dance partner and will start by dancing the Polka Mixer. After that there will be some whole group dancing and some competitions. I will be there to make sure the students are dancing when they should be, and with the partner they were assigned. I am excited to watch them perform and see how well they do.
Another thing that is coming up soon is the Gloucester Arts Festival. Some of you may remember your child playing their recorders at city hall for the festival. There will be a ballroom dancing demo with Miss Tina at 11:00am. There will be a notice being sent home sometime this week about this event.
I hope to see you all at these two wonderful events!
